"Volleyball Night 2008" was held last night at Dharubaaruge Dhoshimeyna Maalam from 2130 - 2300hrs.

The event was shown live on TVM

The ceremony started with the welcome speech by the president of Volleyball Association Mr. Mohamed Riyaz.

In last night's ceremony a special recognition award " The Golden Ball" was handed over to the President of Maldives Olympic Committee Mr. Mohamed Zahir Naseer for his outstanding service to promote and sustain the sport of  Volleyball in the Country. The presentation was done by the president of VAM.

Last night's function was attended by senior official's of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, members of the Executive Committee, Club Officials, Special Guests, Players, Coaches, Referees and Invited Guests.
