After a thrilling five sets at the packed Youth Center Indoor Hall, Dhivehi Sifainge Club (DSC) proved that they are still the NO-1 mens' volleyball Team in the Maldives.

STO Recreation Club (STO), with five players from Senior National Team faced a lot trouble in the tonights FINAL MATCH against DSC.

STO started the game easily. Ahmed Abdul Kareem (Longey) and the young player Anil could not make his team a difference when STO finished the first set after keeping only 15 points on DSC side of scoreboard. However, the second and third set went the otherway round. Smashes were harder and the perfect services and defens from DSC made these two sets to turn on their side after justing giving 22 and 23 points to STO.

The match became more spectacualr when the "tight-plays" and balanced attacks were showed with both the team in the fourth set which favoured to STO side with 25-20.

The deciding set also started with a point to point on each side. But at the end set result was 16-14 to DSC, which made them to become the Champions of the last three years ASSOCIAITON CUP.

Best ALL-ROUND PLAYER (U19 years) :  ALI HUZAM - STO - 17

Best Coach: IBRAHIM RASHEED - DSC

Best ALL-ROUND Player of the TOURNAMENT: AHMED ABDUL KAREEM - DSC - 10.

Individual awards were distributed by the Senior Volleyball Coach Mr MOHAMED ANEES (Thari Anees). While, the silver medals and Fair Play awards were given by the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Human Resources Youth & Sports Mr Mahid Shareef. 

Presidents of STO Recreation Club (Mr Ahmed Niyaz) and Dhivehi Sifainge Club (LTC Ahmed Fayaz) were call upon to give away the GOLD MEDALS to the Champion Teams. The Trophy were presented to the winning Captain by VAM President Mr MOHAMED RIYAZ. 

This is the third concesetive year of DSC with the Champions title of ASSOCIATION CUP.
